Czech Republic closer to the EMBL membership

Membership of the Czech Republic in EMBL - European Molecular Biology Laboratory - was discussed on 25th June 2013 in Heidelberg by the EMBL Council which approved it unanimously. Delegation of the Czech Republic lead by prof. Dalibor Stys from Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports participated at the meeting.  Prof. Vaclav Paces presented the history, successes and aims of the Czech molecular biology. Ratification of the accession by the Parliament and signature by the president of the Czech Republic will go before the official confirmation of the membership.
