Czech entomologists for Science journal

Genetic mutation of moth Biston betulari was a subject of international research. On Czech side, Frantisek Marec and Martina Dalikova (Biology Centre ASCR and University of South Bohemia in Ceske Budejovice) cooperated with Arjen E. van’t Hof, Nicola Edmond and Ilik J. Saccheri from University of Liverpool.

Their paper “Industrial Melanism in British Peppered Moths Has a Singular and Recent Mutational Origin” was online published in Science on 14 April 2011.
