Social Rights, Active Citizenship and Governance in the EU

European project CINEFOGO organize from 16th to 18th Mars 2009 in Brussels the conference "Social Rights, Active Citizenship and Governance in the EU". The conference will bring together the researchers, EP members, EU officials, NGO representatives and media.

The conference will focus on two important topics relevant for all citizens of Europe as well as all European policy makers:

- Social rights and social reality in the European Union

- Active citizenship and governance.

Under the auspices of Mr. Vladimír Špidla, EC Commissioner of Social Affairs and Employment, the conference will be jointly organized by Roskilde University, Roskilde, Denmark, and Charles University, Prague, Czech Republic.
