AGRICULTURAL RESEARCH AND FOOD SECURITY

CZELO - Czech Liaison Office for Research, Development & Innovation has the pleasure to invite you to a half day conference AGRICULTURAL RESEARCH AND FOOD SECURITY – OUTLOOK TO HORIZON 2020 AND BEYOND.

The European agriculture sector is facing many challenges. Already worsening limits of production together with predicted climatic and demographic changes might play an increasingly larger role in the future and this fact is necessary to be addressed as of today. The aim of the conference is to provide the overview on how the agricultural research is able to contribute to food security. It will bring together the views of policy makers as well as practical examples of research efforts aimed at different aspects of food security.
The conference is organized under the auspices of Mr. Petr Bendl, Minister of Agriculture of the Czech Republic.
